If you could raid the closet of any style icon—past or present—who would it be and why?

I personally don’t know if people consider her a style icon, but I do. Solange. And we are both cancers. I love how much leather she wears, the textures, the combination of sexy and comfortable while being chic. I would love to raid her closet while we drink green tea together and yap. 

​​If your wardrobe could talk, what would it say about you?

That I have a mental breakdown everyday. I’m battling between being type - a and not giving a f**k about the state of my closet. We could never have enough black boots and were still searching for the perfect black leather jacket in multiple forms. 

What’s one shoot or project that made you feel like you weren’t just modelling, but actively shaping the world being created?

When I shot the Jacquemus Love Campaign in 2021 with my partner Amanda. The location, the team, and circumstance was just surreal. I was kissing my girlfriend topless in a old house in bay ridge for a luxury brand as a black,queer woman. I didn't realize the impact it would have until after the fact and my relationship was being displayed to tell a beautiful story.

As an Australian, I find New York completely captivating - even though I’ve never been, it feels like a city that holds so much raw energy. I see the way you capture it, not just as a backdrop but as something alive, something that moves with you. I’d love to hear how you experience the city and the ways it has shaped you?

How do you navigate the push and pull of New York’s fast-paced life while staying grounded in your own rhythm?

Listening to my body, giving myself grace, and keeping people around me who keep me grounded. I am someone who loves being at home just as much as being outside or partying. But what I don’t do is push myself for any other reason than doing it for myself and not for a superficial reason. I try. I think the only thing you can do in a city like nyc is learn how to find a balance or else you get lost in the purpose of it all. Even though i don’t believe everything we do must have purpose or else theres too much pressure.

The love you share with your partner is beautiful, when reading your interview with Wray or seeing glimpses of your relationship on TikTok, there’s a depth and ease that shines through. It feels like you’ve built a life together that is expansive rather than limiting. I’d love to hear more about your relationship and the ways it has shaped you?

Who’s the funnier one between you and your partner?

Hmmmm people would say amanda :) but im really funny in other ways hehe 🙂 But amanda is actually a comedian. We actually are people who laugh constantly and always said that was a requirement in a relationship! 

Love and connection take on so many forms. What does real love feel like to you?

Comfortability.  Amanda. A sense of freeness. Stability. partnership. Pure joy. A hug, text, kiss to ease an anxious moment. Letting go of control. My family The benefit of the doubt. Being oneself in the truest form. Letting go of ownership. Forgiveness. True forgiveness. Knowing before I know. My friendships.

When you reflect on your happiest moments, what do they all have in common?

Traveling and experiencing something new or being around the  people i love. Most times traveling with the people i love. 

If you could teleport anywhere for a quick getaway, where would you go?

Hmm this is hard as i want to say somewhere with the beach, but also someplace with amazing food. Mexico City and then I’d go to the water in Oaxaca !!!

If you could create a signature piece that defines your essence, what would it be?

Im battling between saying the perfect fitted leather black shirt/jacket or a perfect heeled boot!

I don’t want to pick so im saying both!! **bonus answer is creating a signature “milan candle”

• What are the small, ordinary moments in a day that bring you the most peace?

A perfect matcha latte. The soft touch of my partner in the morning telling me shes awake. The sun coming in the kitchen window. In bed w/ no lights on but whats coming from the tv show im binging at the moment. Listening to frank ocean over and over and over.
